1. Medical Coding:

• Assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes to accurately reflect the evaluation and

management services provided during facing patient .

• Review medical documentation, such as physician notes, operative reports, and other

relevant records, to abstract necessary information for coding.

2. Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, including those set forth by the American

Medical Association (AMA), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and other regulatory bodies.

3. Quality Assurance:

• Perform regular audits of coded encounters to maintain coding accuracy and identify areas for improvement in you field.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to tackle issues and implement new methods

4. Documentation Improvement:

• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding-

related queries.

• Educate healthcare providers with documentation.

5. Training and Development:

• Stay informed about updates and changes in coding practices and regulations.

• Provide training to other coding and healthcare staff on evaluation and management coding principles.

6. Reporting:

• Generate reports on coding productivity, accuracy, and compliance for management review.

⏭️ Skills and Requirements:

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification.

• In-depth knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding systems.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in using coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Knowledge of basic medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
