The High Court of Punjab and Haryana is a common institution for the states of Punjab and Haryana, and the Union Territory of Chandigarh. It's located in Chandigarh, the capital of both states, in the foothills of the Shivalik Ranges, and has been in operation since November 1, 1966. The court is considered one of India's most beautiful, with 40 courtrooms, three bar rooms, a library, dispensary, and canteen. The building was designed by French architect Le Corbusier and is part of the Capitol Complex in Sector 1, Chandigarh. The court complex is also a popular tourist destination
